A vote to repeal the penny per ounce soda tax took place in Chicago with The Cook County Board of Commissioners on Wednesday. This vote comes a mere two months after the tax went into effect in August of this year. The tax on sweetened beverages has been a hot topic in recent months, with advocates from both sides – citing public health issues on one side and undue burden to businesses on the other
